Registered Nurse (RN) Med Surge (Bariatric, Ortho Oncology)  $15,000 Sign-On Bonus

Shift: Full Time, 3-12's, Nights 7pm-7am

Department/Unit Summary 
Join a cohesive and inclusive nursing team dedicated to excellence in patient-centered care on our 34 bed unit. Our Medical Surgical BOO unit offers a premier environment to hone your critical care skills and serves as a foundational steppingstone for future careers in Intermediate Care (IMC), Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and beyond. Experience a supportive professional culture that allows you to focus on quality outcomes and professional growth while being supported by a great manager, CNAs  and Unit Secretaries. With a 1:5 to 1:6 nurse to patient ratio, you will play a crucial role in assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on delivering high-quality patient care.

How you'll contribute 
Delivers comprehensive patient care by implementing treatment plans, administering medications, assisting with daily living activities, and monitoring patient conditions. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care, including transfers, discharges, and support services. Educates patients and families based on individual needs, advocates for patient rights and well-being, and addresses concerns promptly to ensure high-quality service. Demonstrates leadership in supervising, coaching, and evaluating staff, assigning tasks, and maintaining effective communication across departments. Maintains accurate documentation, upholds ethical standards, and adapts to changing workloads while supporting new team members and utilizing current technology in care delivery.

Qualifications and requirements 
    License/Education: Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. 
    Certification: BLS required. ACLS, PALS and TNCC and CEN preferred
    Experience: Experience in acute care facility preferred.
