Job description

Position Summary...Join the Walmart Indemnity Center of Expertise as Associate Counsel. This cross-functional team advises business clients and legal colleagues about Walmart's rights and obligations associated with vendor and supplier contracts. The Associate Counsel role is critical to evaluating tort and commercial litigation where Walmart's contractual indemnity rights may be implicated. You will work with vendors, suppliers, and their attorneys and insurers while protecting Walmart's rights. The Associate Counsel role may help facilitate the reporting of matters to Walmart's insurers. In this role, the right person will contribute to implementing policies and best practices to ensure indemnity matters are handled efficiently and consistently.What you'll do...
  • Advise on Walmart's contractual indemnity and insurance rights and obligations regarding tort and commercial litigation
  • Developbusiness best practices and procedures that will drive consistency and efficiency
  • Collaborate withinternal and external stakeholders
  • Develop best practices and procedures that will mitigate the company's risk
  • Identify emerging litigation trends, spot issues across matters, and ensure consistency of positions

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
