Job description

Apex Electric Workforce is hiring 6 experienced commercial electricians (temps) for a night-shift Walmart remodel project in Canal Winchester, Ohio. This is a project-based opportunity for professionals who take pride in high-quality work, communicate well with teammates, and can deliver on tight commercial retail timelines.


The ideal candidate will bring a proactive attitude, exceptional technical expertise, and a passion for delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality electrical solutions. You will be working inside an open retail environment during off-hours, performing electrical remodel tasks while coordinating closely with other trades and store management to maintain a safe, clean, and organized work site.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years of commercial electrical experience in retail, grocery, big-box, or similar environments.
  • Strong foundation in electricity principles and practical electrical work in commercial environments.
  • Strong understanding of commercial wiring methods, lighting systems, panels, and branch circuits in non-residential settings.
  • Knowledge of NEC, local electrical codes, and OSHA safety practices, with a strong commitment to safe work habits.
  • Ability to work overnight shifts, stand for extended periods, lift materials and equipment, and use ladders and lifts.
  • Ability to read and work from blueprints, remodel plans, and written scopes of work without constant supervision.
  • Proven history of working safely and productively on night-shift projects or off-hours work in occupied facilities.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation to Canal Winchester, OH, and ability to maintain consistent attendance for the full project duration.
  • Must have hand tools, proper work boots, and PPE suitable for commercial electrical work.
  • Effective communication skills, teamwork mindset, and professionalism in an active retail environment.


Schedule and Project Detail:

  • Night-shift work inside an active Walmart store (off-hours only; typical start between 8:00 PM and 9:00 PM, end time based on project needs).
  • Project-based assignment with potential overtime as remodel milestones are approached.
  • Work may involve tight deadlines; reliability and punctuality are critical.


Compensation:

  • $26.00 - $30.00 an hour (based on experience)
