Job Description
The primary responsibility of the Host/Hostess is to welcome our guests when they arrive in our restaurant and start them off with a positive dining experience. Hosts/Hostesses need to be able to work quickly and efficiently on tasks to ensure a pleasant atmosphere for our guests. They should always show true hospitality to our guests and maintain a positive attitude towards co-workers.

Responsibilities
  • Seating restaurant guests by seating each section fairly and consistently to ensure customer service standards are maintained.
  • Must have knowledge of the menu and additional products that are served, including all beverages and daily specials.
  • Handle cash transactions with customers and collect payment
  • Issue receipts, refunds, change, and tickets.

Team and Guest Relations
  • Provide excellent guest service to all guests and ensure the same for all team members.
  • Perform guest service duties as requested.
  • Maintain a fast pace for customer service needs.
  • Be a team player and proactively assist other colleagues.

Skills / Experience
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Good communication and customer service skills are essential for this position.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization and to carry out simple one or two-step instructions.
  • Health Card and Alcohol Awareness Card required.

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to stand and walk swiftly for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to bend to obtain items near the floor.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
