Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) – Full Time (Hourly)

Location: Wake Endoscopy Center – Cary, NC
Position Type: Full Time | Hourly

About the Role

Wake Endoscopy Center is seeking a FullTime Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) to provide safe, compassionate, and efficient care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. This role is ideal for an RN who enjoys procedural nursing, values teamwork, and is committed to delivering highquality patient experiences in a focused outpatient setting.

You’ll work closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to support the entire endoscopy process—from patient preparation through procedure completion.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide and coordinate nursing care throughout the endoscopy process
  • Organize time, equipment, supplies, and workflow to support efficient case management
  • Verify patient identity and procedure prior to transport and participate in procedural timeouts
  • Prepare patients for procedures, review medical records, and communicate care needs with the healthcare team
  • Provide patient education, comfort, reassurance, and emotional support while maintaining privacy and dignity
  • Assist with safe patient positioning and closely monitor patient condition throughout procedures
  • Administer medications per physician orders
  • Accurately interpret and carry out physician orders in accordance with policy
  • Handle, label, and log tissue specimens correctly and according to procedure
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care and procedural activity
  • Prepare procedure rooms by assembling properly functioning equipment, instruments, and supplies
  • Ensure instruments and supplies meet disinfection and sterilization standards per policy
  • Support efficient room turnover and costeffective use of supplies
  • Assist with inventory management of supplies, medications, and equipment
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of patient care
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Prior experience in endoscopy, GI, PACU, OR, or procedural nursing preferred
  • Strong IV and computer skills
