Maximus is currently seeking a Sr. Application Developer.
This position is remote with the expectation for occasional in-person meetings in Bethesda, MD and requires the ability to obtain Public Trust suitability determination.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preform requirements analysis to develop detailed technical specifications and anticipate integration considerations.
- Design and implement complex software components and perform advanced programming tasks across multiple technologies.
- Resolve complex defects, evaluate broader system impacts, and develop robust enhancements.
- Drive improvements in coding standards, development workflows, testing strategies, and operational practices.
- Provide knowledge transfer, coaching, and informal mentoring to lower-level developers.
Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work as part of a development team in the design of software applications.
- Recommend product revisions or enhancements based on user feedback.
- Develop and maintain documentation or user manuals.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 5+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job-Specific Minimum Requirements:
- Work will be remote with the expectation for occasional in-person meetings in Bethesda, MD.
- 4 years of experience with overseeing application development and ensuring quality control.
- 5 years' experience in .Net and SharePoint 2016/2019/SE/SPO, along with MVC, Ajax.

- Experience with ActivePDF products, Telerik Radcontrols and iText/iTextSharp, SharePoint Search.
- Experience writing web service calls.
- 5 years' experience writing stored procedures for both SQL Server and Oracle.
- 3 years' experience using USWDS.
- Experience with claims-based authentication.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience with modern programming languages and frameworks.
- API and integration development experience.
- Cloud platform experience (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
