Job description

The Division of Critical Care within the Department of Pediatrics at NYU Grossman School of Medicine is seeking a board certified/board eligible pediatric intensivist for a faculty position at the Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone Health. This individual will join a group of 19 intensivists and 6 advanced care providers to provide coverage in our 20-bed critical care unit, with the capacity to do extracorporeal life support and renal replacement therapies. We have a fellowship program established in 2021 with one fellow per year. We work collaboratively with respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and nursing, as well as our medical and surgical subspecialists to provide collaborative, family centered care. We have comprehensive representation of the medical and surgical subspecialties, caring for a broad range of patients. Our group also provides coverage to the Bellevue Hospital Center PICU, a 7-bed unit that supports a Level 2 trauma center as well as multiple medical and surgical specialties. The Bellevue team includes 10 advanced care providers. Responsibilities in addition to comprehensive clinical care include teaching of fellows, medical students and pediatric residents, and participation in hospital-related administrative, research and/or quality improvement initiatives.

Applicants are eligible for a faculty appointment at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics. NYULMC offers a competitive salary and benefits and is an equal opportunity employer; we encourage inquiry from applicants of diverse backgrounds.
