Job description

Join a well-established hospital medicine team in Columbus, Ohio, as a Day Hospitalist or Nocturnist. This role at Mt. Carmel East offers the opportunity to deliver patient-centered care in a supportive environment, focusing on complex cases in an open ICU. You will collaborate with a diverse team and contribute to teaching, while enjoying a flexible schedule that promotes work-life balance.

Practice Info

  • Join a well-established team of 18 physicians and 7 advanced practice providers (APPs)
  • Supported by a clinical performance nurse, a clinical performance associate, and a group coordinator at Mt. Carmel East
  • Work in an open ICU environment with intensivist coverage
  • Team actively participates in committees and leadership roles to support quality and process improvement

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex cases in an open ICU environment with intensivist coverage
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
  • Contribute to teaching medical and APP students from surrounding universities and programs on occasion
  • Participate in regular team meetings, held two to three times per week, to discuss critical items
  • Engage in monthly regional meetings to review performance and address outstanding practice matters

  • Flexible schedule that allows for work-life balance

Requirements

  • Board-certified/eligible in family or internal medicine
  • Comfortable with a nocturnal schedule (for Nocturnist position)
  • Ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours (for Nocturnist position)
