Job description

Farmers Insurance District 0609 is selecting experienced sales and business-development professionals for our Insurance Apprentice Program in Bristol, Pennsylvania.


This is a paid, hands-on development program designed for individuals who have already demonstrated the ability to sell, build relationships, generate opportunities, and work toward measurable goals. Participants will learn insurance sales, agency operations, customer acquisition, and the leadership skills required to qualify for future agency ownership.


Insurance experience is preferred but not required. Proven sales experience is required.


This opportunity may be a strong fit if you have succeeded in:


Insurance, financial services, automotive, mortgage, real estate, recruiting, telecommunications, home improvement, or another results-driven sales environment


Business development, account management, or customer acquisition


A role with sales quotas, production goals, revenue targets, or performance-based compensation


Business ownership, sales leadership, or managing a book of clients

We provide the training, coaching, leads, systems, and brand support. You must bring the sales ability, personal discipline, resilience, and desire to build something.

Responsibilities


Generate new business through outbound prospecting, networking, lead follow-up, referrals, and local marketing (We provide you with leads)


Conduct insurance conversations with prospective customers and identify appropriate coverage solutions


Educate individuals, families, and business owners about Farmers Insurance products


Prepare quotes, present recommendations, address concerns, and ask for the business


Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects and clients


Work toward defined activity, sales, and production goals


Deliver professional customer service while meeting insurance compliance standards


Learn the systems, financial disciplines, and leadership practices involved in operating an insurance agency


Path to Agency Ownership


Successful completion of the Apprentice Program does not automatically guarantee an agency opportunity. Candidates must demonstrate consistent sales production, prospecting discipline, sound judgment, licensing progress, leadership potential, and readiness to operate a business.


For the right person, this program provides a structured path toward building a long-term career in insurance and potentially leading a Farmers Insurance agency.

Requirements

At least two years of experience in sales, business development, recruiting, account management, sales leadership, or business ownership


Demonstrated experience working toward a sales quota, revenue goal, production target, or comparable business objective


Confidence initiating outbound calls, following up with prospects, networking, and asking for business


Ability to work independently while remaining accountable to activity and production standards


Strong communication, decision-making, and relationship-building skills


Willingness and ability to obtain the required Pennsylvania insurance licenses (We will assist you)


Interest in developing the leadership and operational skills required to run an agency
