Job description

Are you looking to build a real career in insurance sales where your income is tied directly to your performance?

Crawley Insurance Agency, a third-generation Farmers Insurance agency in Fullerton, is hiring a full-time Insurance Sales Producer through an apprentice-style program designed to develop high-performing agents.


This is not a classroom or passive training program. You will be working directly in a live agency environment, learning how to generate, quote, and close business from day one.


This is a production-focused role. You will not be responsible for day-to-day service work. Your focus is writing new business and growing a book of clients.


You will work a combination of:


Inbound opportunities

Cross-selling from an existing client base

Referrals and networking

Outbound prospecting


We provide structure, training, and opportunity. You are responsible for execution and results.


Compensation:


Flat base pay during onboarding period

Base is tied to production expectations

Strong commission on all new business

Monthly, quarterly, and annual bonus opportunities


Realistic earnings:


Year 1: $60,000 to $100,000+

Top performers exceed this range


This role is designed for individuals who want high income potential and are willing to be measured on production.

Responsibilities
  • Meet and exceed new business production goals
  • Generate and close new insurance policies (auto, home, life, and additional lines)
  • Prospect and develop new business through outbound calls, referrals, and networking
  • Work inbound leads and cross-sell opportunities from existing clients
  • Conduct policy reviews and identify coverage gaps
  • Build and maintain relationships with referral partners (real estate agents, lenders, business owners)
  • Prepare quotes, present coverage options, and close sales
  • Maintain consistent follow-up on all opportunities
  • Track pipeline, quotes, and activity in AgencyZoom and CRM systems

Requirements
  • California Property & Casualty license required (or ability to obtain quickly)
  • Prior sales or insurance experience preferred
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable with outbound calling and follow-up
  • Self-motivated, competitive, and goal-driven
  • Able to work independently and manage pipeline effectively
  • Organized with strong follow-through

  • Must pass background check and Farmers appointment approval
