What You'll Do

You'll play a critical role in helping Tricon secure profitable commercial projects by preparing accurate, competitive estimates from concept through bid submission.

Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare quantity take-offs using OST and QuickBid
  • Review plans, specifications, and bid documents
  • Identify scope gaps, risks, and value engineering opportunities
  • Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
  • Prepare RFIs and bid packages
  • Analyze labor, equipment, material, and subcontractor costs
  • Participate in bid strategy meetings
  • Coordinate successful handoffs to Project Management
  • Maintain complete estimating documentation
  • Conduct post-project reviews to improve future estimating accuracy

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a seasoned estimator who enjoys solving complex challenges and takes pride in delivering accurate, competitive bids.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • 5+ years of commercial drywall estimating experience
  • Experience estimating:
    • Commercial drywall
    • Metal framing
    • Acoustical ceilings
    • Insulation
    • Specialty wall and ceiling systems
  • Experience bidding projects exceeding $10 million
  • Strong blueprint reading and quantity take-off skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Preferred qualifications include:

  • On-Screen Takeoff (OST)
  • QuickBid
  • Bluebeam Revu
  • Microsoft Office
  • Construction accounting software
  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • Degree in Construction Management or related field
