Job Description:
The Commerce & Retail Media team at Dentsu leads strategy, activation, and optimization for one of the industry's largest Retail Media clients. We are seeking a Senior Manager, Commerce & Retail Media to support one of our major CPG clients. This role will lead Search and Display retail media strategy, planning, activation, and performance across Walmart, Amazon, Instacart, Target, Kroger, and other leading retail media networks. The ideal candidate combines deep retail media expertise with strong client leadership, strategic thinking, and a passion for driving measurable business outcomes. This individual will play a critical role in shaping annual commerce strategies, leading retailer partnerships, and developing future retail media talent.
Main Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end Search and Display retail media strategy across key retail media networks including Walmart Connect, Amazon Ads, Roundel, Kroger Precision Marketing, Instacart, and emerging RMNs.
  • Own annual, quarterly, and tentpole retail media planning for the Wells portfolio.
  • Serve as a strategic client lead, translating business goals into retail media investment recommendations and activation strategies.
  • Partner with retailer and vendor teams to identify opportunities, negotiate added value, and drive innovation.
  • Oversee campaign performance, optimization strategy, reporting, and budget stewardship.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members while ensuring high-quality execution across all workstreams.

Qualifications
  • 5-8+ years of experience in retail media, digital media, eCommerce, performance marketing, or shopper marketing.
  • 3+ years of experience leading client relationships and managing complex retail media programs.
  • Experience managing and developing junior team members.
  • Deep experience with Search and Display retail media activation and strategy.
  • Strong understanding of major retail media networks including Walmart Connect, Amazon Ads, Instacart, Roundel, Kroger Precision Marketing, and emerging RMNs.
  • Experience leading client relationships and presenting strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage large media budgets and identify performance-driving optimizations.
  • Strong analytical, storytelling, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple brands, priorities, and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

The annual salary range for this position is $72,000 -$110,000. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
