Positional Overview
The Imagine Group is recruiting for a Logistics Specialist on behalf of our client, a leading global trading and supply chain specializing in metals, alloys, and other critical raw materials, connecting producers with consumers across international markets. With deep industry expertise and a strong North American and European presence, the organization provides innovative, dependable solutions that support efficient sourcing, logistics, and delivery throughout the supply chain.
In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the timely and efficient movement of medical supplies, equipment, and other resources while supporting day-to-day operational needs. You will work closely with internal teams, healthcare partners, and vendors to coordinate deliveries, track shipments, maintain accurate records, and resolve logistics-related issues to ensure seamless service.
Role & Responsibility:
Tasks That Will Lead to Your Success:
  • Handle imports of material in containers: Customs clearance, Drayage from ports to warehouses, Negotiate rates.
  • Coordinate logistics of material movement with truckers, customs, brokers, ports and warehouses.
  • Work with Traders and Trader Assistants to facilitate and coordinate shipments.
  • Coordinate with Foreign Suppliers as well as overseas Freight forwarders to book freight.
  • Handle and work with shipping documents. (Invoices, Ocean bills of lading, insurance certificates, Certificate of Origin, Certificates of quality …)
  • Ensure that shipments adhere to customs regulations

Qualifications That Will Help You Thrive
  • Associate degree- Business and Accounting majors preferred
  • Strong mathematical abilities
  • Strong computer skills- Outlook, Excel, Team are a must
  • Experience with large volumes of imports
  • Experience working with freight forwarders and customs brokers
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – able to communicate with proper business etiquette in person, over-the-phone, and via email
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to be a self-starter and work on projects with minimal management oversight
  • Must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment involving multi-tasking
  • Must be able to work independently and able to work as part of a team
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of imports/ exports, INCO terms, trading terms.
  • Microsoft- Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Experience using IBM I (AS400) menus and applications
  • Teams, WhatsApp and other messaging apps
  • Ability to navigate multiple screens.
  • Ability to maintain organized and accurate online files and contracts.
