Job description

As a Lead Medical Assistant, you will report to the Center Administrator. This is an onsite outpatient clinic setting located in North Charleston, SC.
As a Lead Medical Assistant, you will perform clinical duties such as:
  • Discussing symptoms and obtaining vital signs
  • Administer medications and vaccines
  • Perform phlebotomy, and collect specimens
  • Perform diagnostic screening tests and sterilize and clean equipment
  • Maintain examination rooms and document information into the electronic medical records system
  • Collaborate closely with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.

The Lead Medical Assistant possesses advanced skills and knowledge, contributes to process improvement, delivers in-depth education/training, and provides advanced guidance/mentoring to other Medical Assistants.
Use your skills to make an impact
Required
  • Successful completion of MA school/training program and a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or Certified/Registered Medical Assistant with 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CPR Certified
  • 3 years experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinic setting
  • This role is considered patient facing and is part of the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.

Preferred
  • Phlebotomy experience• Medication/vaccine administration experience
  • Value Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish - must pass proficiency exam prior to foreign language communication

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$48,300 - $65,900 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
