Position Overview

At Unified Door & Hardware Group (UDHG), the Project Assistant plays a vital role in supporting day-to-day project operations by ensuring effective coordination between internal teams, vendors, and customers. With strong organizational skills and attention to detail, the Project Assistant helps keep timelines on track and communication flowing-ensuring project accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. If you're proactive, dependable, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute to successful project delivery.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer & Project Coordination
    • Follows up with customers on submittals, change orders, samples, schedules, and other job-related issues
    • Assists with creation of change orders and internal change orders (ICOs)
  • Procurement & Vendor Management
    • Assists with creation of purchase orders and follows established release procedures
    • Follows up on vendor purchase orders to ensure timely delivery in line with project requirements
    • Obtains and verifies vendor purchase order acknowledgments
  • Shipping & Material Logistics ย 
    • Assists with creation of packing slips
    • Coordinates with the shipping/receiving department
    • Communicates and ensures timely delivery of materials to the jobsite
  • Miscellaneous
    • Support our values in the stand areas of Safety, Customer Focus, Teamwork, Integrity and being a Company of Choice for both employees and customers
    • Other duties as assigned

    • Competency in computer software and administrative skills
