Position Overview:
Youth Dynamics' mission is to invite and challenge youth to a lifelong adventure with Christ and His church. If you desire to serve in a Christian workplace and use your skills to help fulfill the mission of Youth Dynamics, this could be a great opportunity for you.
We are seeking to hire a full-time Hospitality and Retreat Manager at Stonewater. Stonewater is nestled in the heart of the cascades on 158 acres just 30 minutes from the beautiful town of Leavenworth. It is an ideal playground during all four seasons. The Hospitality and Retreat manager position helps to prepare a place for people to experience God. This position develops, oversees, and supervises all aspects of Stonewater's Hospitality and Retreat ministries. The ongoing, cumulative and direct responsibilities include:
Key Responsibilities and Expectations
  • Leadership: Oversee, & supervise staff ensuring the fulfillment of the Internal Commitments
    • Spiritual Leadership: Will assess, guide, & teach in accordance with God's word throughout programs, training and specific studies. (Sensitive to interdenominational needs and issues).
    • Delegation and Empowerment: Will create an environment of empowerment by appropriately releasing authority to others.
    • Ongoing Coaching: Ensures each direct report receives timely and accurate feedback regarding their performance, as well as providing appropriate mentoring and coaching to encourage improvement.
      • Lead interns and others in serving our guests well.
      • Provide accountability and management of housekeeping staff.
  • Administration: Develop and manage strategic plan, budget, and guest communication.
    • The primary point of contact for our retreat guest groups.
    • Utilize tools and computer programs that help with group management.
    • Communicate with guest groups leading up to their retreat or event.
    • Anticipate the needs of hosting and our guests, and respond excellently.
    • Provide schedules, budgets, and marketing oversight of retreats and events in buildings.
  • Logistics: Manage and maintain our facilities, buildings, and equipment, in a professional manner.
    • Accountability of the stocking of building supplies.
    • Communicate building maintenance issues.
  • Team Involvement: Actively participate on the local management team and other roles.
    • May be asked to consider joining other organizational sub-teams.
    • May be asked to segment seasonal time of adventure guiding or other team requests.
  • Other: Responsibilities as assigned by the Director.

Reports to: Stonewater Director
Supervises: Summer Staff, volunteers, interns, and other possible guest groups doing service work
Works Collaboratively with: Local management team along with greater organizational teams
Qualifications:
  • Time Management: Is able to plan and organize own use of time and meet deadlines.
    • Self-motivated and directed.
    • Doesn't have to continually rely on the last minute.
  • Administration: Strong proficiency with PC computers and Microsoft Office applications.
    • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite. And other software applications
  • Relational: Outstanding people skills. Teachable spirit and able to work independently and within a team.
    • Able to maintain healthy relationships with co-workers & constituents.
    • Presents a positive image to the public.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate to various audiences through written and verbal skills.
    • Successful customer service mindset and communication.
    • Confidently communicate to large and small group audiences.
  • Supervision: Able to care for and encourage direct reports
    • Manage to ensure responsibilities and expectations are met. Recognize what direct reports are doing right as well as areas needing improvement.
  • Personal: A passion for reaching teens and young adults
    • Active and growing relationship with Christ / willingness to sign Youth Dynamics Statement of Faith.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • Experience: One to three years of related experience preferred

Salary and Benefits:
  • Pay* $42,000 - $54,000

  • This can be a part-time role; however, full-time is preferred.
