Summary:

As an Adventure Specialist at Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe, you will help guests make the most of their time in Lake Tahoe by connecting them with outdoor recreation, resort programming, and local experiences. This role serves as a knowledgeable resource for guests while also supporting the coordination and execution of seasonal activities throughout the resort.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for guests seeking recommendations for local attractions, outdoor recreation, seasonal events, and resort experiences
  • Promote, coordinate, and assist with booking on-site and off-site activities, including skiing, hiking, biking, paddleboarding, boating, and guided excursions
  • Facilitate daily resort activities, seasonal programming, and special events
  • Assist guests with activity planning and provide recommendations based on interests, ability levels, weather, and seasonal conditions
  • Deliver warm, engaging, and personalized service throughout the guest experience
  • Follow established safety procedures and ensure activities are conducted with guest wellbeing in mind
  • Coordinate with local vendors, activity providers, and resort departments to support a seamless guest experience
  • Maintain accurate guest participation records, waivers, and other required documentation
  • Maintain the Adventure Center and recreational equipment, ensuring spaces are clean, organized, properly stocked, and guest-ready
  • Assist with the setup, breakdown, transportation, and storage of recreational equipment and activity materials

Qualifications:
Qualifications - External
  • Strong knowledge of the Lake Tahoe area and enthusiasm for outdoor recreation and adventure
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and guest service skills
  • Comfortable engaging with guests and providing recommendations in a fast-paced resort environment
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with colleagues and resort departments
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varying shifts based on business needs
  • Ability to lift, move, and transport recreational equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Previous experience in hospitality, recreation, guest services, outdoor recreation, or a related field preferred
