Lewis-Palmer High School is looking for a Counselor for the 2026-2027 school year. The High School Counselor provides counsel, coordinates, and consults with students, parents, staff, and community resources to provide guidance necessary to meet the needs of the whole child. Candidates will provide guidance to students with academic and/or vocational concerns and coordinate student-teacher-counselor-parent conferences. Candidates will manage schedules for all students, coordinate with case managers for ELL, SPED, and Gifted students' schedules and facilitate the development of 504 plans, attend student meetings, and parent/teacher conferences as needs arise. Candidates will cooperate in school-wide supervision of students during out-of-classroom activities and perform other duties as assigned. Candidates will have a valid Colorado Service Provider license with secondary school counselor endorsement. Master's degree required. Experience in counseling, teaching, or related mental health field preferred.
Exact placement on the pay schedule will be determined by the Director of Human Resources upon contracting. As a guideline, we offer up to 18 years of previous contractual teaching experience for a placement of Step 19, per school board policy. This pay range is based on education and experience levels with a range of $48,446 - $75,279 annually. May be required to work up to an additional 12 days on a supplemental contract.
