The Emotional Intelligence Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to provide outpatient services to clients in need. In this role, you will engage with individuals and families facing challenges such as neglect, child abuse, domestic violence, and mental health issues, including conditions exacerbated by parental substance abuse. As a critical member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, providing crisis interventions, and developing comprehensive treatment plans that facilitate positive outcomes for our clients.

Work Environment

You will work from Monday to Friday, between 8 AM and 5 PM, allowing you to maintain a work-life balance while providing substantial assistance to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Interaction: Engage with clients through various modalities, including phone consultations and in-person meetings. Establish therapeutic relationships that foster trust and openness.
  • Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments to gather relevant information and understand each client's unique needs and circumstances.
  • Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate crisis intervention to clients in distress and develop strategies to address their immediate needs.
  • Resource Coordination: Identify and refer clients to additional services and resources, collaborating with other agencies to ensure a holistic approach to care.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and confidential client records, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with all regulations and best practices.
  • Continuous Development: Participate in ongoing training, supervision sessions, and team meetings to enhance skills and stay up-to-date with best practices in social work.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily support clients experiencing mental health challenges and social injustices related to neglect, domestic violence, and substance abuse issues. Your role is vital in addressing these complex problems through a compassionate lens, ensuring that clients receive appropriate support tailored to their individual situations.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field is required.
  • Active LCSW licensure in the state of Connecticut.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint is essential for documentation and communication.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to actively listen and empathize with clients during difficult times.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective treatment plans and strategies for diverse client populations.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience working with clients in crisis situations, particularly in areas such as child abuse, domestic violence, or substance abuse recovery.
  • A deep understanding of community resources and services available for client referral.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive yearly salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000, complemented by monthly productivity bonuses.
