Opportunity:
We are seeking a Junior Risk Analyst to support the organization's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program and broader risk and performance activities. This role is ideal for an early-career professional with 1-3 years of experience who is interested in developing expertise in enterprise risk, government contracting, aerospace and defense operations, and business performance.
The Junior Risk Analyst will work with business and functional leaders to identify, assess, monitor, and report risks that could affect business objectives, customer commitments, operational performance, and mission outcomes. The position will also support risk assessments, risk registers, key risk indicators (KRIs), trend analysis, and executive risk reporting.
Responsibilities:
• Support enterprise and business-level risk identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting activities.
• Maintain and update risk registers, including risk statements, ratings, mitigation actions, owners, and due dates.
• Assist with program, contract, operational, and functional risk assessments.
• Collect and analyze information related to financial, operational, program, supply chain, cybersecurity, compliance, workforce, and strategic risks.
• Support development and monitoring of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Analyze risk trends and identify emerging patterns, concentrations, or areas requiring management attention.
• Track risk mitigation and treatment activities and follow up with risk owners on open actions.
• Assist in preparing risk dashboards, executive presentations, reports, and briefing materials.
• Support periodic enterprise and business risk reviews with functional and operational leaders.
• Perform research on regulatory, industry, geopolitical, supply chain, and other developments that may affect the organization.
• Assist with contract and business risk reviews for new or existing programs.
• Support continuous improvement of ERM processes, tools, templates, and reporting.
• Coordinate with functions such as Program Management, Finance, Contracts, Supply Chain, Cybersecurity, Legal, Quality, Security, and Operational Excellence.
• Support special risk analysis and Operational Excellence initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Risk Management, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of professional experience in risk management, business analysis, program management, finance, compliance, audit, government contracting, operations, or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to evaluate information from multiple sources.
• Ability to organize data and translate findings into clear business insights.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Microsoft 365.
• Ability to develop professional reports, presentations, and executive-level briefing materials.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
• Ability to work collaboratively across functions and organizational levels.
• Demonstrated judgment, professionalism, and ability to appropriately handle sensitive business information.

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
