Job Summary: Under general supervision, the Digital Fundraising Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing online fundraising strategies to help the organization achieve its financial goals. This role involves managing digital campaigns, leveraging social media, email marketing, and crowdfunding platforms to engage donors and drive contributions. The specialist will analyze campaign performance, generate reports, and recommend improvements based on data-driven insights.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute online fundraising campaigns across multiple digital platforms
  • Utilize social media, email marketing, and crowdfunding tools to engage donors and boost contributions
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance, generating reports to inform strategic improvements
  • Create compelling digital content that motivates donor action and supports organizational goals
  • Coordinate with communications and development teams to align messaging
  • Improve the digital donor experience from first touch to long-term loyalty
  • Manage online donor acknowledgments, thank-you campaigns, and personalized follow-ups
  • Support digital components of major fundraising events, peer-to-peer fundraising, and crowdfunding

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
  • Online marketing channels such as email, social media, paid advertising, and content marketing to effectively reach and engage donors
  • Digital fundraising tools and platforms, including crowdfunding sites, donation management systems, and CRM software
  • Creating compelling messaging that resonates with potential supporters and motivates them to give
  • Relevant regulations regarding online fundraising, donor privacy, and data protection
  • Experience in planning, executing, and evaluating digital campaigns, including budgeting and timeline management
  • Understanding how to identify and target different donor groups for tailored engagement strategies
  • Awareness of search engine optimization techniques and web analytics tools to increase visibility and track user interactions
  • Processes, rules and regulations of various services and funding agencies surrounding the eligibility and maintenance of the services being received
