Job description


Position Summary

The Front Loader Operator is responsible for operating a front‑end loader to move, load, and organize vehicles movements throughout the day from processing to draining to locate in the yard. Keep track of each car as it is moved. This role requires safe equipment operation, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced outdoor setting. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety‑focused, and experienced with heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a front-end loader to move vehicles for processing, draining, crushing, stacking or loading crushed vehicles on flat bed.
  • Perform daily equipment inspections, including checking fluids, tires, hydraulics, and safety systems.
  • Load trucks, bins, or hoppers according to weight limits and operational guidelines.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas by removing debris and managing material piles.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and adherence to equipment operation standards.
  • Communicate with supervisors, spotters, and yard personnel to coordinate material flow.
  • Report equipment issues, hazards, or maintenance needs promptly.
  • Assist with general yard duties when equipment operation is not required.
  • Operate additional equipment (skid steer, forklift, etc.) if certified and assigned.
Required Skills amp; Qualifications
  • Experience operating a front-end loader or similar heavy equipment. Knowledge of safe equipment operation, load limits, and material handling.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Strong situational awareness and commitment to safety.
  • Valid driver’s license; equipment certifications preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while operating equipment.
  • Ability to climb in and out of heavy machinery multiple times per shift
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and dusty environments.
  • Good hand‑eye coordination and ability to operate controls safely.
