  • Lead and oversee overall transmission line design for all capital projects.
  • Review and create transmission line plans and profile drawings using PLSCAD to comply with standards such as AVANGRID TM and NESC.
  • Plan and strategize line routing considering right-of-way, congestion, local permitting issues, and reliability optimization.
  • Conduct probability modeling, cost estimation, and other required technical analyses.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (Civil, Electrical, or related discipline).
  • 3–5 years (or more) of experience in power system civil engineering, preferably with transmission lines.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of line design, routing strategies, and transmission standards.
  • Proficiency with engineering design software such as PLSCAD.
  • Ability to analyze environmental and structural constraints and incorporate them into project plans.
What the Company Offers:

  • Competitive compensation with performance-based incentives.
  • Comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, HSA contributions, 401(k) with company match, PTO, and paid holidays.
  • Opportunities for career growth and professional development, including tuition reimbursement and job-related training programs.
  • Supportive work environment with exposure to complex, high-profile infrastructure projects.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate is a highly motivated engineer with strong analytical and technical skills, experience in transmission line design, and the ability to manage projects from concept through execution. They are detail-oriented, collaborative, and capable of integrating environmental, structural, and regulatory considerations into practical, cost-effective engineering solutions.
