Job description

Rigid Tactical is seeking highly qualified Former Ambassadors, Defense Attachés (DATTs), and Chiefs of Station (COS) to serve as Diplomatic Role Players in support of NSW/ Trident exercises. In this capacity, you will leverage decades of high-level geopolitical expertise to provide realistic, immersive training environments. You will represent the "Interagency" and "Country Team" perspectives, challenging SOF leadership to navigate the complexities of diplomatic-military integration, host-nation relations, and sensitive operational environments.

Qualifications/Requirements:Required Qualifications:
  • Recent RP experience with Trident exercise as the host interagency, or country team. 
  • Distinguished Career Service: Minimum of 10 years of professional experience within the Department of State, Department of Defense (Defense Intelligence Agency), or the Intelligence Community.
  • Leadership Experience: Must have served as a U.S. Ambassador, Defense Attaché (DATT), or Chief of Station (COS).
  • SOF Integration: Demonstrated experience working directly within a Special Operations environment (e.g.,NSW,  Joint Special Operations Task Force, Theater Special Operations Command, or Embassy-based SOF elements).
  • Communication Mastery: Exceptional ability to deliver articulate, critical feedback through verbal AARs and concise, professional written reports.
  • Clearance: Must possess an active U.S. Government Secret clearance (Top Secret/SCI preferred).

  • Ability to adapt to fluid, high-stress training environments.

  • Deep understanding of the Integrated Country Strategy (ICS) and Chief of Mission (COM) authority.

  • Willingness to mentor the next generation of special operators on the importance of the diplomatic instrument of national power.

 Primary Responsibilities
  • Immersive Role Play: Portray high-ranking diplomatic and intelligence officials in complex, multi-day training scenarios, maintaining persona and professional decorum throughout.

  • Strategic Advisory: Provide real-time mentorship to SOF commanders on the legal, political, and cultural nuances of operating within a foreign embassy or consulate framework.

  • Reporting & Analysis: Conduct comprehensive After Action Reviews (AARs), providing both verbal debriefs and formal written evaluations on the training audience's ability to integrate with the Country Team.

  • Scenario Development: Assist in the refinement of exercise injects to ensure they accurately reflect current global flashpoints and Department of State/CIA operational realities.

  • OPSEC Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to operational security protocols regarding exercise design and government-sensitive information.
