We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join our team. This is a direct hire position with no staffing agency involvement.
Schedule
- Full-Time
- Monday – Thursday
- 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Four-day, 40-hour workweek
- Overtime available as business needs require
Position Summary
The CNC Programmer will develop CNC programs, machining strategies, setup documentation, and tooling solutions for complex precision-machined components. This position works closely with setup personnel and machinists to optimize production processes, improve cycle times, and maintain the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Create CNC programs for CNC lathes and mills.
- Develop machining strategies for various stages of production.
- Prepare setup sheets and detailed work instructions.
- Design fixtures and work-holding solutions.
- Specify special tooling as required.
- Collaborate with setup personnel to troubleshoot programs and machining processes.
- Continuously improve machining efficiency while maintaining strict quality standards.
- Support production through process optimization and technical problem-solving.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of CNC programming experience in a high-precision job shop environment.
- Strong experience programming CNC lathes and mills.
- Proficiency with FANUC and HAAS controls.
- Experience machining precision components with tolerances as tight as ±0.0005".
- Solid understanding of machining processes, tooling, cutting strategies, and fixture design.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Skills
- Experience using CAD/CAM software in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of fixture and work-holding design.
- Continuous improvement and lean manufacturing experience is a plus.
Compensation
$75,000 – $104,000 annually
Salary is based on verified experience, skills, and qualifications.
Qualified candidates should be prepared to demonstrate their programming and machining knowledge during an onsite skills assessment.
