Job Title: Accounting Specialist – P&L & Financial Operations

Location: Alpharetta, GA (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Full-Time


Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist with strong expertise in Profit & Loss (P&L) management and financial statement analysis to drive the financial performance of key client accounts. This role goes beyond traditional account management, requiring ownership of account profitability, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.

The ideal candidate will combine client relationship management with financial acumen, ensuring both customer satisfaction and revenue/margin growth.


Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage P&L performance for assigned accounts, ensuring revenue growth and margin optimization
  • Analyze financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow) to assess account health
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for client accounts
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive operational efficiencies
  • Partner with finance, operations, and delivery teams to align financial goals with service delivery
  • Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to internal leadership and clients
  • Monitor key financial KPIs such as revenue, gross margin, EBITDA, and cost ratios
  • Lead quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with a focus on financial performance
  • Ensure accurate billing, invoicing, and revenue recognition processes
  • Support contract negotiations with a focus on profitability and risk mitigation

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • 1+ year of experience in Account Management, Finance, or Business Operations
  • Strong hands-on experience with P&L management and financial statement analysis
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial data to stakeholders
