Advertised Job Summary
Responsible for success of all live events at a venue. Conceives, produces, coordinates, and directs productions held at the venue, ensuring that technical and esthetic standards are met. Functions as the event communications expert for the venue.
Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in a job related field and 5 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials Preferred Qualifications
  • 6 years experience working in a professional performing arts environment. Experience with event management, technical riders, gathering advance event information and facility use contracts and/or artist contracts.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Practical working knowledge in a public arts or cultural environment.
  • Should possess a basic understanding of the budget process, budget reports, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of PC and Apple computers.
  • Current office software includes: Microsoft Office suite, Filmmaker Pro, Adobe Creative Suite and Vectorworks.
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of facility users with many different levels of theatrical expertise.

Work with building users to discuss the feasibility of using the Koger Center for their events, gather advance information, prepare event sheets and diagrams, monitor and settle events.
Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 30 Job Duty
Assist the Director with booking the facility and artists including coordinating the calendar, writing contracts and processing them through the university approval system.

Assist the Director with budgeting processes and assist with the flow of information and schedules through all departments. Works with development to engage with patrons, donors. Management and oversight of the grant and proposal processes through our workflow systems. Communicates with partners in Development to execute and finalize documents.

Direct supervision of Facility Services Manager ensuring that all housekeeping protocols are met and event set-ups are successfully implemented
