(Temporary / Independent Contractor)
MISSION
The New Orleans Film Society (NOFS) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting, nurturing, and amplifying the diverse voices of filmmakers. We aim to facilitate conversations through film and film-related programming that inspire, educate, challenge, and entertain our audiences.
VALUES STATEMENT
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Festival Social Media Coordinator is responsible for executing the New Orleans Film Festival’s social media strategy before, during, and immediately following the Festival. Working under the direct supervision of the Development Manager, this individual creates engaging content, coordinates the Festival’s social media presence across all approved platforms, provides real-time coverage of Festival events, and helps extend the Festival experience beyond the walls of our venues. The Festival Social Media Coordinator helps translate the energy, artistry, and community of NOFF into a compelling digital experience that expands the Festival’s reach, strengthens its reputation, celebrates filmmakers and partners, and invites new audiences into the NOFS community. This position is an important member of the Festival’s communications team. Creativity, initiative, and thoughtful ideas are encouraged. Strategic direction, messaging priorities, project assignments, and final approvals are provided by the Development Manager. The successful candidate will communicate proactively, exercise sound editorial judgment, adapt to changing priorities, receive feedback professionally, and consistently produce high-quality work that supports the organization’s goals.
