Hourly pay rate: $20.00 to $24.58
A little about the position:
  • Learn rules and regulations of snowboarding and skiing competitions, and maintenance and safety of competition arenas. Strong skiing skills are required, with opportunities to improve on the job.
  • Race and Competition Assistants participate in all aspects of event/race production. Full-time and part-time positions are available for the 2026-2027 winter season.
  • The Race Department hosts various ski, snowboard, and winter sport events. Duties include setting up safety fencing, moving equipment via skiing or snowmobile, controlling ski run closures, setting up gates and timing equipment, and maintaining courses. Tear down gates, fencing, and signage at the end of events. On-the-job training and supervision provided by experienced staff.
  • Work within a close-knit team, relying on and supporting each other daily in all conditions. Join a hardworking and fun crew!

Requirements:
  • Strong skiing skills; must ski the entire mountain proficiently.
  • Effective and professional communication with racers, officials, coaches, co-workers, and guests.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in adverse weather conditions.
  • Knowledge of race procedures and regulations, and experience in this field is desirable.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations.
