Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a full-time Exercise Specialist Coordinator to work at a high-profile retail client headquarters located in Beaverton, OR.

What you will do:

  • Help ensure the Exercise Specialist team consistently delivers high-quality service and member support.
  • Maintain and improve the quality and service of the fitness center by communicating with clients and team members and encouraging feedback.
  • Collaborate with members, team members, and cross-functional partners to enhance service quality and operational effectiveness.
  • Support employee coaching, development, and performance management activities as directed by leadership.
  • Assist with the rollout of departmental initiatives, operational programs, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Develop, maintain, and audit standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Support team training, upskilling, and professional development initiatives.
  • Conduct facility audits, needs assessments, and operational reporting to maintain safety, quality, and readiness.
  • Support sports events, wellness initiatives, and special programming as needed.
  • Perform Exercise Specialist standard tasks.

What we are looking for:

  • A bachelor's degree in exercise science, kinesiology or a related field, or a NCCA-accredited personal training certification.
  • Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
  • Industry knowledge in exercise testing (assessments) and exercise prescription (program design), and ability to operate various fitness tools and equipment.
  • 2-3 years of experience in personal training, fitness programming, corporate wellness, health promotion, or a related field, with demonstrated success in client engagement and program delivery.
  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service and build strong relationships that drive member satisfaction, retention, and results.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple clients, priorities, and administrative responsibilities effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment in a dynamic environment.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to motivate, educate, and engage diverse populations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and the ability to effectively utilize internal operating systems, scheduling platforms, and performance-tracking tools.
  • Ability to analyze client outcomes, member feedback, and program performance metrics to support continuous improvement and business growth.
  • Self-motivated, professional, and team-oriented, with a commitment to operational excellence, member success, and workplace well-being initiatives.
