Position Responsibilities

  • Precision Excavation:Excavate line and grade for mainline waterline, sewer, storm drain, and water pipe according to project plans.
  • Utility Safety:Masterfully excavate around existing utilities with high precision.
  • Technical Implementation:Understand and execute trench depth, grade compaction, pothole procedures, and pipeline installation.
  • Safety Leadership:Act as the OSHA Certified Competent Person for trenching and shoring; implement rigging and shoring practices to ensure a safe environment for all.
  • Equipment Care:Maintain thorough knowledge of equipment maintenance to ensure fleet reliability.
  • Project Oversight:Read plans accurately and keep the crew organized and on task to meet goals and deadlines.


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience:Proven track record in mainline excavation and pipe utilities.
  • Certification:OSHA Certified Competent Person for trenching and shoring.
  • Attitude:A positive, team-oriented mindset with the ability to follow supervisor directions.
  • Communication:Effective communication skills with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Compliance:Must pass pre-employment and random drug/alcohol testing (Drug-Free Workplace).
