Job Description

The Event Work Crew 2 will primarily be responsible for assisting with the setup/strike and support of special events, weddings, functions, and other activities. The Event work crew team will report to the Event Operations Supervisors and at times, will be expected to drive company vehicles and complete the delivery/pickup of smaller orders with little supervision. Other duties may include general support for the Events crews and Engineering Services department with projects and assignments as needed.

Essential Job Duties:

1. Efficient and safe set up, maintenance, and break down of events equipment to include staging, seating, tents, sound equipment, lighting, etc. as required/assigned.
2. Maintenance and cleaning of restrooms and other locations related to events as assigned.
3. Provides support to Group Sales, Catering & Conference Services, Entertainment and Event Programming, et.al. related to event logistics.
4. General warehouse work such as organizing, loading/unloading trucks, cleaning and repairing equipment, etc.
5. Driving a company vehicle, able to complete smaller task and/or orders with minimal supervision.

Requirements:

1. High school diploma preferred.
2. At least one (1) year of prior experience working with event set up and logistics preferred.
3. Demonstrated commitment to providing world class internal/external guest service.
4. Solid interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills; must be able to convey information clearly and concisely.
5. Excellent attention to detail with focus on quality and service.
6. Strong time management and organizational skills; can multi-task and adapt as required.
7. Ability to take direction and understand and execute instructions successfully.
8. Proactive, and exercises good judgment; can troubleshoot as needed.
9. Can operate effectively in an intense and dynamic guest service environment, and respond/interact with guests and vendors in a manner consistent with Biltmore standards.

Physical Requirements:

1. Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds on a regular basis with assistance.
2. Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
3. Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and/or scaffolding.
4. Ability to reach overhead, bend, squat/kneel.
5. Must have a valid NC Driver's License with clean driving record & be at least 18 years of age.
