Position Summary

As directed by the department lead, this full-time Utility Worker position maintains the general maintenance of the facility, as well as the preparation and tearing down of events.

This role pays an hourly rate of $33.35 (per CBA).


Benefits as per the union agreement.

This position will remain open until October 16, 2026.

About the Venue

As a leading entertainment venue,ย PPG Paints Arenaย is the regional epicenter for athletic events, concerts, and family shows in Western Pennsylvania and home to the NHL's Pittsburgh Penguins.

Responsibilities
  • Repairs and maintains facility, including painting and general labor.
  • Handles preparations for all events, including installation and removal of the dasher board system for hockey, staging, and chairs for concerts and family shows and basketball flooring.
  • Snow removal and general maintenance of areas on the outside of the facility, which involves driving a plow truck and forklift, as needed.
  • General summer garden detail, including cutting grass with a mower, weeding, and trimming using a motorized trimmer.
  • Implements corrective actions and solutions.
  • Ensures job assignments are completed on time and meet company standards.
  • Follows procedures for use of Work Order and Maintenance Manager Systems.
  • Adhere to OSHA, NFPA, and other applicable safety codes.
Qualifications

Must be available to work between the hours of 10pm and 7am. Hours and days will vary based upon our event schedule and will include weekends and may include some holidays

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalentย  ย  ย
