Senior Nurse Consultant (RN)
Assisted Living Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance
Coverage Area: South Georgia, Valdosta & Clearwater

PruittHealth is seeking an experienced Senior Nurse Consultant (RN) to support our Assisted Living communities throughout South Georgia and the Florida Gulf Coast region. This highly visible role is ideal for a clinical leader who is passionate about regulatory compliance, quality improvement, survey readiness, resident-centered care, and coaching operational and clinical leaders.

As a Senior Nurse Consultant, you will partner with Executive Directors, Directors of Health Services, Resident Care Coordinators, and interdisciplinary teams to strengthen compliance programs, improve quality outcomes, and ensure the delivery of exceptional care across multiple assisted living communities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive compliance reviews and mock surveys aligned with state assisted living regulations and company standards.
  • Evaluate clinical, operational, environmental, and resident care practices to identify areas of risk and opportunity.
  • Review resident records, assessments, service plans, medication management processes, and clinical documentation for compliance and accuracy.
  • Identify potential deficiencies and provide actionable recommendations for correction and improvement.
  • Coach and educate Executive Directors, Directors of Health Services, Resident Care Coordinators, and community teams on regulatory requirements, documentation standards, and quality practices.
  • Assist communities with corrective action plans and ongoing Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor follow-up activities to ensure sustained compliance and successful outcomes.
  • Provide real-time feedback, mentoring, and support during community compliance reviews and readiness visits.
  • Participate in regulatory readiness calls, clinical leadership meetings, training programs, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Stay current on assisted living regulations, resident care best practices, infection prevention standards, and quality improvement strategies.
Qualifications
Required
  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license. Multi-state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Georgia and Florida preferred.
  • CPR Certification.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of clinical experience in Assisted Living, Senior Living, Long-Term Care, Skilled Nursing, or related healthcare settings.
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership experience as a Director of Health Services, Resident Care Director, Director of Nursing, Clinical Consultant, Quality Nurse, or similar role.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance, quality audits, quality improvement programs, and corrective action planning.

Preferred
  • Experience conducting compliance reviews, mock surveys, or participating in state regulatory inspections.
  • Strong knowledge of Assisted Living regulations and resident care standards.
  • Infection Preventionist certification.
  • Strong analytical, auditing, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience supporting multiple communities and managing competing priorities.

Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of an accredited educational institution with a degree in Nursing
Continuing education in regulatory compliance, infection control, or Quality Assurance Performance Improvement is a plus.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility
At least 2 years of leadership experience (Director of Health Services, Assistant Director of Nursing, Quality Nurse, or Clinical Consultant).
Prior experience conducting mock surveys or participation in state/federal survey processes (preferred)
Familiarity with Plans of Correction, Quality Assurance Performance Improvement programs and compliance audit
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
• Must possess an active Registered Professional Nursing License (multi-state)
• Infection Preventionist certification preferred, but not required
• CPR Certification
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (Preferred qualifications)
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends and implement improvement strategie
• Strong understanding of care coordination, patient experience and quality improvement principle
• Ability to lead and manage teams across multiple location
• Communication, leadership, and interpersonal skill
