RN LICENSE REQUIRED
This position will act as support for 13 Community Based Care properties in Oregon and Washington.
  • Must located in Oregon
  • Must be willing to travel
  • Must be willing to hold delegations as needed
  • Must be familiar with Community Based Care regulations

JOB SUMMARY:
A Regional Nurse Consultant (RN) will travel to and provide support to multiple Community Based Care facilities in Oregon. This position will evaluate facility performance and conduct inspections to determine that the standards for licensure and certification are maintained.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Engage and assist in management of survey process
  • Reviews medical and other pertinent records to determine compliance with standards of practice and regulations
  • Provides further education, training and guidance as needed
  • Regularly observes clinical practices for compliance with standards of nursing practice and federal, state, and local regulations
  • Observes that residents are provided with a comfortable, clean, orderly, and safe environment
  • Prepares reports of findings, recommendations and assists with quality improvements
  • Provides information and guidance in the development of policies and standards of nursing practice for new programs
  • A Regional Nurse Consultant may be required to assume the role of interim DHS, as needed
  • Available on-call for emergencies that supervisory personnel cannot handle
  • This person serves on a team with other Regional Nurse Consultants to set direction and standards
  • Follows up with DHS and Executive Director on Quality Assurance recommendations
  • Other Duties as Assigned

REQUIREMENTS:
  • RN License in Oregon
  • Preferred experience as a Director of Health Services
  • Experience as a Regional/Clinical Assisted Living RN Consultant is a plus
  • Regulatory knowledge
