Position Summary: 
The Lead Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for designing and developing Business Intelligence (BI) front-end solutions. The position is also responsible for requirements gathering, project management, constructing functional designs, communicating with team members and business stakeholders, and supporting existing business intelligence applications.
People or Process Management Responsibility: Works on multiple, complex projects as a project leader and a subject matter expert.
Required Skills and Experience:
4 year degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or in a related discipline
6 to 8 years of relevant work experience, particularly as a software programmer or business analystAt least 3 years of BI application development experience
At least 2 years Cognos experience, with excellent Cognos development skills, specifically around Framework Manager, Report Studio, Transformer
Excellent SQL skills
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Strong presentation skills including the ability to interact with top-level business leaders
Must exemplify leadership and salesmanship qualities to promote BI solutions throughout the organization
Strong competence in gathering and documenting business requirements, defining optimal BI solutions to business problems
Strong understanding of SDLC best practices with an emphasis on DW/BI practices
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Experience with Cognos SDK, Cognos Metrics Studio, Cognos Event Studio
Experience creating visually appealing reports for executive leadership and/or external clients
Experience with Javascript
