Job description

Description
Senior Materials Manager- Stewartville, MN GEOTEK | Full-Time
GEOTEK is a global leader in engineered fiberglass composite products, and we're looking for a Senior Materials Manager who can own the supply chain that supports that position.
GEOTEK makes engineered fiberglass composite products used in power infrastructure across the globe. Our PUPIยฎ crossarms are the market leader. We're growing, and the supply chain function needs to grow with us. This is a senior leadership role with real scope: strategic procurement, inventory, logistics, warehouse operations, and a team of buyers and warehouse personnel reporting to you.
What you'll actually be doing:
You'll own materials from forecast to warehouse floor. That means MRP strategy tied to production schedules, supplier relationships for resins, glass fibers, hardware, and coatings (domestic and international), lot traceability and shelf-life compliance, freight and logistics planning, and continuous improvement on all of it. You'll also be a cross-functional partner- Engineering, Production, Quality, and Finance all need you working with them, not around them.
The team you're leading includes buyers, inventory control, and shipping/receiving. Part of the job is developing that team and scaling it ahead of business growth.
This role is intentionally positioned for growth. As GEOTEK continues to expand, so will the scope and leadership opportunity for the right person.
What we're looking for:
โ€ข 5+ years in materials management, supply chain, or procurement in a manufacturing environment
โ€ข Hands-on ERP/MRP experience
โ€ข Direct international sourcing and supplier management experience is required
โ€ข Comfort managing temperature-sensitive, lot-controlled, or technically specified materials
โ€ข Experience with supplier qualification, dual sourcing, and strategic supply agreements
โ€ข Leadership experience- you've managed a team and you know how to build one
Composites experience is a plus but not required.
The compensation range for this position is $112,000 - $155,000 annually. Final offers may vary based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications. The posted range represents the expected earning potential for this position within the current organizational budget and market conditions.
Who We Are
For over 30 years, GEOTEK has been internationally recognized for industry leading composite technologies, engineering, and service. The company has grown PUPIยฎ into the leading global provider of fiberglass crossarms and is committed to adding and developing other market-leading composite brands for the world's infrastructure. The company was founded in 1990 to manufacture and market Common Sense Fencing and other pultruded fiberglass products. Early on GEOTEK also began producing utility composite crossarms for Pultruded Utility Products, Inc., a company it acquired in 2000 and renamed Pultruded Utility Products International (PUPI) to reflect the global opportunity for these products. PUPI (pronounced "puppy") is a brand of GEOTEK. Using proprietary processes and several patented inventions, GEOTEK manufactures and distributes engineered fiberglass composites that are used by the transmission and distribution power lines and substations. The company is well positioned for sustained growth and profitability through market expansion and new product offerings.
Our Purpose
As the global leader in composite crossarms, we aim to broaden our engineered composite products in infrastructure applications with light poles and beyond.
Mission
Enhance the world's infrastructure with engineered composite products.
Vision
Develop, acquire, and grow respected composite product brands; where each product line delivers market-leading reliability, performance, and value to global infrastructure customers.
TRUE Values
