Clean Harbors is seeking a highly motivated Labor & Employment Attorney to provide legal counsel and support on a broad range of employment-related matters. The ideal candidate will have experience
advising clients or business leaders on workplace issues, employment litigation, labor relations,
compliance, and risk management. This role requires strong legal judgment, exceptional communication
skills, and the ability to partner effectively with Human Resources and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Counsel management and HR on employee relations matters, including discipline, accommodations, leaves of absence, performance management, and terminations.
  • Provide guidance regarding wage & hour compliance, EEO laws, harassment and discrimination claims, and workplace investigations.
  • Draft, review, and revise employment-related policies.
  • Manage and oversee administrative charges, employment litigation, and agency investigations, including matters before the EEOC, DOL, NLRB, and state agencies.
  • Advise management and HR professionals on federal, state, and local labor & employment laws and regulations.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for management and HR on labor & employment law developments and best practices.

Qualifications
  • JD from an accredited law school and a member in good standing of a state bar.
  • Minimum of two to three years of relevant labor & employment experience.
  • Prior in-house experience is preferred but not required.
  • Experience supporting multi-state employers is preferred but not required.
