Minimum Hours per Week: 31.25
Responsibilities
-Provide speech and language development services for a wide range of disabilities.
-Consult and/or co-teach with classroom teachers and recommend communication systems/approaches, which will maximize student growth.
-Initiate and maintain parent contact.
-Provide diagnostic testing and reports for IEP evaluations of students referred and specific goals/objectives for their individual educational plans.
-Attend IEP evaluation meetings as required.
-Provide data driven as well as narrative progress reports on all students on caseload.
-Perform other duties relating to program as required.
Qualifications
-Master's degree in Communication Disorders
-Massachusetts (DESE) certification as teacher of children with speech and language disorders.
-Massachusetts state license
-ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence
-Experience with children with moderate and severe communication disorders and with young children preferred.
