Job Title: Material Handler
Location: Long Prairie, MN
Compensation: $18.50-$20.35 per hour depending on shift - paid weekly
Schedule: 1st & 2nd shift | Monday-Thursday | 6am-4:30pm or 4:30 PM-3:15 AM
Job Type: Temp-to-hire | Full-time
About the Opportunity
Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Material Handler workers for a local warehouse/food production company in Long Prairie, MN. In this role, you'll support production operations by handling materials, maintaining food safety standards, and keeping product moving efficiently through the process. If you enjoy hands-on, fast-paced work and want steady hours with weekly pay, this could be a great fit. Read below for more information!
What You'll Do as a Material Handler:
- Ensure finished products are properly labeled and moved to designated locations
- Monitor raw materials as they are introduced into the production process
- Complete accurate, legible production and inventory paperwork
- Maintain food safety and quality standards at all times
- Keep required materials stocked and available for production
- Perform cleaning tasks per operator or supervisor instructions
- Communicate regularly with the Production Support Lead
What You Need to Bring to the Material Handler Role:
- Must have at least 6 months of previous manufacturing or warehouse experience within the lat 2 years
- Must be able to get certified on a Forklift
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must have basic math skills and attention to detail
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Reliable attendance for a full-time evening/overnight schedule
