Facility & Grounds Maintenance Technician

Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring a Facility & Grounds Maintenance Technician for a local warehouse/food production company located in Long Prairie, MN. What You'll Do as a Facility & Grounds Maintenance Technician:

• Perform general building and grounds maintenance, including lawn mowing, snow removal, and seasonal upkeep
• Complete maintenance work orders such as patching, painting, minor construction, and general repairs
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, including HVAC systems, utility equipment, and facility systems
• Conduct routine inspections and testing, including fire extinguisher audits and fire pump testing
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment using available documentation and maintenance procedures
• Perform general plumbing repairs (sinks, drains, toilets) and building system maintenance
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the maintenance shop, equipment, and facility (including 5S activities)
• Support safety initiatives, identify unsafe conditions, and ensure compliance with company and quality standards

What You Need to Bring:

• High school diploma or GED
• 3–5 years of related maintenance experience, preferably in a food-grade or manufacturing environment
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in facility, equipment, and preventative maintenance
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, procedures, and safety regulations
• Basic math skills including calculations, percentages, and measurements
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with business or manufacturing software systems
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, and manual labor with or without reasonable accommodations
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
