Team Description:

The Data Solutions & Platforms Engineering team is part of Enterprise Technology & Data. We are responsible for developing enterprise solutions and managing a diverse portfolio of products and tools related to Data, Analytics, AI and Automation used by business teams across The Walt Disney Company.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead engineer responsible for managing operations of our Finance data platforms (including SAP BW, SAP HANA, Snowflake)

  • Act as the technology subject matter expert, partnering with technology stakeholders and clients to both address issues and recommend/implement enhancements

  • Investigate and resolve production related issues and driver areas of focus for continuous improvement initiatives

  • Oversee offshore teams responsible for managingincidents, issues and service requests; ensure service level and quality targets are met

  • Design and implement technology solutions in partnership with Solution Architects, Product & Engineering Managers

  • Coordinate development and on-going maintenance of Disaster Recovery plans

Required Qualifications& Skills:

  • Minimum of 7 years of related work experience, to include:

  • Technical expertise in SAP HANA and SAP BW

  • SQL, Python, Javascript

  • Other technical experience (nice to have): ETL, Informatica IDMC, BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, SAP Business Objects)

  • 5+ years of experience developing and managing enterprise data systems and tools

  • Understanding of Finance business domain

  • Good communications skills

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $134,000 - $173,400 per year and in Orlando, FL is $123,100 - $165,100 and in Seattle, WA is $140,300 - $181,600. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
