As a Physical Therapist at Diamond Hearts, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to capture the full extent of patients' physical conditions and impairments.
• Developing individualized treatment plans based on accurate diagnoses, integrating therapeutic exercises and modalities tailored to patients' needs.
• Instructing patients in effective therapeutic techniques, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to manage their rehabilitation.
• Utilizing various treatment modalities such as manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and equipment training to promote recovery and enhance mobility.
• Maintaining thorough documentation of patient progress, treatment modifications, and setting measurable goals to promote accountability.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and providing guidance to patients and their families on effective in-home care and recovery exercises.

Your patients will include a wide range of individuals, from children to seniors, each presenting different diagnoses and rehabilitation needs. You will engage with individuals suffering from sports injuries, post-surgical recovery, chronic pain, and neurological conditions. Your ability to tailor your approach to suit each patient’s unique challenges will significantly influence their recovery journey and contribute to improved health outcomes.

To excel in this role, the following qualifications are required:

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in documentation and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• A flexible and adaptive approach to working with diverse patient needs and schedules.

We seek candidates with at least 2 years of relevant experience in a clinical setting. Experience working with a variety of patient populations and therapy modalities will be particularly advantageous. We also value candidates with previous mentorship or leadership experience, especially with new graduates.
