Job Summary:
CGS Federal is seeking a Data Center Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations and maintenance of data center facilities for a government client in Columbia, SC. The role involves ensuring the smooth running of server equipment, implementing policies, and collaborating with various stakeholders to support business objectives.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure 24/7 operation and security of data centers
• Oversee installation, maintenance, and upgrades of data center infrastructure
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions
• Develop, implement, and enforce data center policies and procedures
• Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and internal departments to support business objectives
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and backup plans
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
• Conduct regular audits and assessments of data center operations
Qualifications:
Required:
• Strong technical skills to include: Data center infrastructure and network technologies
• Strong technical skills to include: HVAC, UPS, and power distribution systems
