Dss Security Jobs (NOW HIRING)

Collaborates with Government customer Security Managers and Key Management Personnel to ensure that a security program and physical measures are in place to protect the security interests of the U.S. Navy, promoting Operational Security (OPSEC) in daily work activities. Responsible for administering all security requirements and ensuring full compliance with the requirements outlined in the statement of work., to include federal, state, and local security statues and regulations

Provide all-encompassing security support including but not limited to access controls, physical security, security monitors, personnel security, operational security, and awareness training. Will be required to perform monthly physical security inspections of no less than 80% of facilities within our area of responsibilities. Will be required to ensure Physical security surveys are conducted on a biannual basis.

Survey results will be brief to Project director and used as a management tool on what needs protecting, security measures in affect, what needs improvement. Has full Security responsibility as all the overarching organizational elements are critically linked throughout the organization, serving as the direct conduit for corporate security engagements and local and military security support requirements. Initiates measures to secure, monitor, and control access to Government facilities.

Conducts security investigations and generates required reports. Complies and implements the Naval installation Anti-Terrorism Force Protection (ATFP) program and Insider Threat Program for company, ensuring employees and subcontractors understand importance of reducing vulnerability of individuals and property to terrorist acts. May be required to conduct security checks on employees and subcontractors/vendors which includes (but not limited to) verification of credentials being issued or conducting badge checks and validating work being performed.

Will work closely with Safety Department, Quality Department and Emergency management personnel. Develops and implements a Physical Security Plan for the company and for each annex. This includes providing oversight of compliance to the plan, conducting investigations, and providing recommendations.

Will be responsible for conducting investigations on property damages or lost items due to negligence and/or theft. Develop and coordinate training program to ensure workforce is continuously provided informational awareness as it pertains to security, including but not limited to OPSEC, ATFP and insider threat programs.Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's Degree or a high school diploma, or equivalent. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in government contract pertaining to security requirements, or equivalent. Demonstrate knowledge and experience managing USG security and counterintelligence programs. Must have Strong communication and interpersonal skill.

Must be computer proficient and knowledgeable of Microsoft Office programs. Knowledge of Industrial Security and related programs: Defense Security Service (DSS) related security database and programs (e.g., DISS, EPSQ, e-QUIP). Desired: Successfully complete DSS security training (independent study, correspondence courses) as required

former military or police intelligence background to include special forces.Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's Degree or a high school diploma, or equivalent.
