As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol with Active Clearance in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. You will communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and support a welcoming environment through teamwork and integrity. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or contractors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor, incident, and patrol documentation.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders according to established procedures.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access, theft, and property damage through visible presence, professional communication, and timely reporting of security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
