About This OpportunityJoin a collaborative and purpose-driven team within Information Technology Services, where you will play a pivotal role in strengthening cyber security culture across the University of Queensland. As the Senior Coordinator, Cyber Security Culture, you will lead innovative and engaging programs that empower our diverse community to adopt secure behaviours, reduce human-centred cyber risk, and build capability at scale. Working closely with cyber security professionals, educators, and stakeholders, you will translate complex concepts into meaningful, accessible, and impactful initiatives that shape how people think about and respond to cyber security across the organisation.
Key responsibilities will include:
Leading and evolving the Cyber Security Champions Network to embed sustainable, peer-led cyber safe behaviours across the University community
Managing the Cyber Security Internship Program end-to-end, including recruitment, development, and evaluation of emerging talent
Designing and delivering innovative cyber security awareness and training initiatives, including gamified "Cybercation" sessions and mandatory training programs
Overseeing simulated phishing campaigns and analysing results to inform continuous improvement in cyber resilience
About You Demonstrated experience coordinating and delivering projects or programs, including planning, scheduling, and stakeholder engagement
Proven capability in designing and facilitating engaging training sessions or workshops for diverse audiences
Strong commitment to driving participation, behavioural change, and measurable program outcomes
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and engaging content
Highly organised with strong attention to detail and capacity to manage competing priorities
Experience presenting to large audiences, or willingness to develop this capability
Proficiency in digital tools including Microsoft 365, learning management systems, CRM platforms, and eLearning authoring tools
Understanding of cyber security risks, trends, or human-centred security practices is desirable
