Overview
Program dates:
Summer: May through August
The Incident Response team is the Cyber Security front line at Melaleuca. In this position you will work on a team where your input matters, where your work is truly valued, and as a team we make a real difference.
Responsibilities
  • Respond to cyber security incidents; this will include use of various security tools to remediate, cleanup, finalize, and prepare reports on findings
  • Escalate and work alongside senior level engineers for high-priority or highly complex incidents
  • Determining mitigation techniques and working with other teams to provide assistance for defensive solutions
  • Assist in Incident Response procedures
  • Review security logs and investigate findings
  • Interact with IT staff globally to gather information, request corrective action from incident response findings, and coordinate cyber security projects and initiatives
  • Assist in both research and implementation of compliance programs such as PCI, GDPR, Part 11.
  • Audit access and permissions throughout the environment and within applications

Qualifications
  • Completion of cyber security specific courses
  • All IT experience is beneficial, even if not directly related to Cyber Security - help desk, systems administration, networking, etc. Cyber Security job experience is preferred but not required.
  • Pursuing a degree/career in Cyber Security specifically
  • Preference given to students currently in their junior or senior year of college, pursuing a degree in related field
  • Able to work in Idaho Falls, Idaho for your program dates of approximately 90 days
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher
  • Strong creativity skills
  • Strong customer relation skills
  • Detailed work and organizational skills
  • Ability to analyze problems and create solutions
  • Ability to work independently and follow through on projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • General business skills
