Responsibilities
Drive Revenue & Build Business
  • Generate new catering, small group, and event revenue through strategic prospecting, networking, and relationship-building across the Omaha market and beyond.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities while growing Magnolia Omaha's visibility and reputation within the local and regional community.
  • Build meaningful partnerships with corporate clients, event planners, community organizations, social influencers, and repeat clientele.

Create Unforgettable Client Experiences
  • Bring events to life through engaging site tours, personalized presentations, and innovative event concepts that inspire clients to choose Magnolia.
  • Guide clients seamlessly through every phase of the planning journey - from initial inquiry to flawless execution - ensuring every interaction feels elevated, effortless, and memorable.

Close Business with Confidence
  • Negotiate, close, and convert business that aligns with hotel revenue goals while maximizing profitability and long-term relationships.
  • Prepare polished proposals and contracts with creativity, and professionalism.
  • Utilize CRM systems, hotel sales platforms, and prospecting tools to effectively manage pipelines, follow-ups, and production goals. (Delphi, CVENT, Omaha CVB, Knowland, HMS, Q9, Ideas G3, etc..)

Collaborate & Elevate
  • Partner closely with culinary, operations, and hotel leadership teams to create seamless, high-impact events that exceed expectations.
  • Stay ahead of market trends, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities to position Magnolia Hotel Omaha as a sought-after destination for meetings, celebrations, and social events.
  • Represent Magnolia with charisma and professionalism at networking events, trade shows, and community functions to strengthen brand awareness and business development efforts.
  • Contribute innovative ideas, strategic thinking, and high energy to the continued success of the hotel.

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of hotel sales, catering sales, small group sales, or event sales experience preferred
  • Experience in an urban, lifestyle, or downtown hotel market is a plus
  • Proven ability to generate new business, exceed revenue goals, and build lasting client relationships
  • Strong negotiation, prospecting, and closing skills
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities with a natural talent for connecting with people
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Experience with CRM systems, hotel sales software, and modern prospecting tools
