The Tennis Proshop Administrator provides superior customer service to members and guests using the Tennis area. Ability to multi-task, greeting, checking- in guests/members, professional telephone skills, ability to write legibly. Individual stands during work shift.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Check guests and members into facility.
  • Maintain and organize tennis and pickleball retail displays to club presentation standards.
  • Manage retail inventory - receiving, tagging, stock counts, reorder points, and seasonal markdowns.
  • Process retail sales transactions accurately, including member account charges and guest payments.
  • Coordinate with vendors on apparel, equipment, and stringing supply orders.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies with the Club Manager.
  • Accurately charge member accounts and process guest payments for tennis lessons, pickleball lessons, court fees, and retail purchases.
  • Sell and charge for food & beverage items served in the Tennis Pavilion.
  • Maintain accurate daily POS reconciliation and resolve billing discrepancies promptly.
  • Track and report lesson revenue, court usage fees, and retail sales to the Club Manager.
  • Maintain bathrooms and locker rooms to a five-star standard, including hourly inspections, restocking of amenities, and coordination with housekeeping/facilities on deeper cleaning needs.
  • Ensure equipment storage areas, ball machines, and loaner equipment are clean, organized, and in good repair.
  • Manage the daily court reservation system for tennis and pickleball, including member bookings, waitlists, and guest play.
  • Coordinate lesson scheduling between members and teaching professionals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for member inquiries, requests, and concerns related to tennis and pickleball operations.
  • Enforce club rules, dress code, and court etiquette consistently and diplomatically.
  • Help execute all club tennis and pickleball events, including member-guest tournaments, mixers, and clinics.
  • Coordinate event logistics with Food & Beverage, including ordering and charging for event catering and refreshments.
  • Maintain accurate records of court usage, lesson revenue, retail sales, and event participation.
  • Order and manage supplies for the tennis/pickleball operation within budget guidelines set by the Club Manager.
  • Renting Bicycles and communicating with Adventures By The Sea.
  • Notify Engineering department of any needed repairs and maintenance.
  • Pick-up and deliver department mail in mail room.
  • Log-in lost items and take to "lost and found" in Housekeeping.
  • Answer telephone and take messages.
  • Maintain organization and necessary supplies at front desk.
  • Tally and record sales from SMS report and send to night auditor. (PM only)
  • Comply with all Pebble Beach Company safety and health policies and procedures.

Absolutely Required Skills:

  • Professional telephone etiquette.
  • Must have computer skills and be able to use Excel, POS, SpaSoft, Word, Canva.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. (retail stock, event equipment).
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays also required.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout outdoor and indoor club facilities for extended periods.
  • CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
