Therapeutic Behavioral Services Specialist (TBSS) - FULL TIME
Location:
In-person; Greater Cleveland / Akron , OH
About the Role
Red Oak Behavioral Health is seeking a passionate Therapeutic Behavioral Services Specialist (TBSS) to join our school and community-based team. This full-time role is perfect for someone looking to make a direct impact on children and families while growing their career in mental health.
The TBSS serves as a clinical lead in developing and delivering behavioral interventions for youth with mental health needs who do not require traditional therapy. Services are provided directly in schools and community, and tailored to each student's needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review diagnostic assessments and create strengths-based treatment plans
  • Provide Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) and Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment (CPST)
  • Support students in building social and coping skills
  • Collaborate with families, school staff, and service providers
  • Deliver 1:1 and group-based behavioral interventions
  • Attend school meetings and provide mental health consultation to staff
  • Document services and meet service delivery goals
  • Participate in ongoing training and supervision
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, nursing, or in a related human services field, or non-related Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant/related experience required.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in the behavioral health sector.
  • A valid Ohio Driver's License and a safe/operable automobile, with proof of liability auto insurance coverage that meets the state minimum.
  • Knowledge of child development and mental health issues, along with proficiency in delivering evidence-based mental health interventions both inside and outside of school settings.
  • Experience working with youth in a behavioral or school-based setting
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Comfortable working independently in a school environment
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and trauma-informed care
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of clients or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to maintain relevant, timely documentation as required.
  • Ability to write and or type routine reports and correspondence.
