Work Hours: Evening Shift: Full-time/ 2pm-10:30pm with weekend rotations.
Work Location: Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital, Saint Petersburg, FL- Core Laboratory
Position Summary:
  • The laboratory medical technologist performs routine and specialized tests independently or with minimal supervision in one or various sections in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.
  • Recognizes the clinical significance of each test performed and reports results within established time frames.
  • Actively supports the department's continuous quality improvement and customer service goals through modeling of appropriate behavior and by providing a work environment conducive to attaining these goals.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
โ€ข Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology or related science, or applicable Associate's degree
โ€ข Clinical Laboratory Technologist License in all areas of responsibility from the State of Florida
Experience:
โ€ข Ability to participate in one or more project teams
โ€ข Ability to understand and react effectively to the age-specific needs unique to patients
โ€ข Possess good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
โ€ข Possess knowledge of and the ability to use computers, automated instruments, and mechanical apparatus
โ€ข Ability to meet deadlines

Salary Range: Minimum 30.64/hour - Maximum 49.02/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
